into a fabric from Pashm. Pashm refers to Wool in Persia, But in Kashmir The fleece of the Tibetan or Changthangi Goat is called Pashm. The pashm of the changthangi goat is considered to be par excellence & is the raw material used to weave all Kashmiri shawls.

variety the oldest and most luxurious. Both generic cashmere and pashmina come from the same goat, but generic cashmere ranges from 12-21 microns in diameter, whereas pashmina refers onlv to those fibres that range from 12-16 microns.
